Homemade Sour Cream and Noodle Hamburger Casserole

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 lb noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • buttered bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cook noodles in salted boiling water until tender. Drain. Brown beef in butter. Add flavoring, seasonings, and tomato sauce.
  2. Simmer 4-5 mins. Stir in remaining ingredients except for buttered bread crumbs and cheese. Spoon into a casserole dish and top with crumbs and grated cheddar cheese.
  3. Bake at 350 for 20 mins or until mixture is bubbly and bread crumbs are browned.
