Homemade Ice Cream

No ice cream maker? No problem, this sweet and rich vanilla ice cream is the perfect treat and is SO SIMPLE to make, yet still so good!

Homemade Ice Cream

PREP TIME: 15 mins

BAKE TIME:  1 hr 5 mins

WAIT TIME: 5 mins to cool

TOTAL TIME: 1 hr 25 mins

SERVINGS: 12

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups half and half cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

W/ Ice Cream Maker

  1. Mix all ingredients, ensure sugar is completely mixed. Fill ice cream maker (no more than 2/3 full). Freeze as instructed.

W/O Ice Cream maker

  • Place a 13×9 inch dish in freezer until cold. Mix all ingredients together and pour into dish. Freeze until mixture starts to set (20-30 mins). Use a hand mixer and beat until smooth. Cover and freeze until firm (3 hours) beating every 30 mins.

Fry Fam’S TIPS

  • For strawberry ice cream, sub 2 cups of strawberries for 1 cup half and half. Puree strawberries and mix with other ingredients before freezing.
