Passed down to my mom from her great aunt. These fudge-filled brownies have a cookie crumb base that makes them an absolutely irresistible treat!
Delicious Homemade Cookie Brownies

INGREDIENTS
1st Half
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
2nd Half
- 1 (6 oz) pkg chocolate chips
- 1 (6 oz) pkg butterscotch chips
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp margarine
- 2 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
1st Half
- Cream brown sugar, 3/4 cup margarine. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Reserve one cup of mixture. Press rest in the bottom of 9×13 greased pan.
2nd Half
- Melt chips, milk, and margarine until smooth in top of double boiler. Add vanilla and pour over crust in pan.
- Sprinkle and crumble remaining cup of 1st Half crust mixture over top and bake at 350 for 25 mins.
Fry Fam’S TIPS
- These brownies are great warm, but they also maintain their chewy consistency when frozen.
- Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a brownie a la’ mode!
