INGREDIENTS
- 1 pkg (8 oz) macaroni elbows
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 russet potato, peeled and grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- Salt to taste (I use about 3/4 tsp)
- 2 shakes of red pepper flakes
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup yeast
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cook macaroni according to package. Drain. Put Macaroni in large bowl.
- In large saucepan heat oil. Add onion and a little salt, stir often and cook 5 mins. Add in potato, garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 1-2mins. Continue simmering until potatoes are tender, stirring often.
- Put mixture in a blender and add in yeast and vinegar. Blend until completely smooth and add in water as necessary for consistency. Add salt or more vinegar to taste.
- Pour sauce over pasta and combine!
