INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Nestle cocoa
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsps vanilla extract
- 1 12oz pkg (2 cups) Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 cup nuts chopped (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350. In 3 quart saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat.
- Add sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir with spoon until batter is well blended and smooth. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of chocolate morsels and nuts (optional).
- Spread in 13×9″ baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup chocolate morsels. Bake 30-35 mins until set. Cool on wire rack

- These brownies are great warm, but they also maintain their chewy consistency when frozen.
- Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a brownie a la’ mode!
