Homemade Gingersnaps

INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp soda
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cream shortening, brown sugar, molasses, and egg until fluffy.
- Sift together flour, soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves; stir into molasses mixture.
- Form in small balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar; place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 for 12 mins.
